Putting the chuckwagon out to pasture

by The Phantom Wrangler on 12/14/14

For a variety of reasons we as a band have made some decisions as to our immediate future as it pertains to our appearance schedule.  The major decision involves the "food service" aspect, meaning after 15 years of having a meal associated with our shows we have decided to get out of the "chuckwagon" side of things.  We have determined that as a group we wish to concentrate on the concert aspect and leave the food service to someone else.  That isn't to say we won't be appearing at Old Cowtown along with a meal (or anywhere else for that matter), it will be some other entity providing the food service.  Due to individual members personal schedules, jobs and commitments the logistics of performing a show as well as the setup and preparation of a sit-down meal is becoming more difficult to accomplish.  This means that you can find us singing in a broader variety of venues over the next few years.  Stay tuned to our website and to our Facebook page to stay informed.  As always we our grateful for your patronage over the years and look forward to your continuing support of our music!

Hot time in Yoder KS

by The Phantom Wrangler on 08/24/14

We had the pleasure of performing for an awesome crowd at the Yoder Heritage Day Festival in Yoder, KS on Saturday August 23rd.  There was an amazing amount of people attending the event despite the 100 degree temperatures and a wonderful number of them stayed to listen to us!  It is possible many were waiting around for the fireworks display that followed our performance but it appeared that those who stayed to listened did enjoy our show.  Once the sun decided to set the evening was quite pleasant and we enjoyed performing.  Many people requested songs and we did our best to fulfill those requests, even if some of us didn't really know the tune!  Thanks to the Festival for having us and to all who stayed to listen.

Cowtown and Cruisin'

by The Phantom Wrangler on 07/26/14

I have been lax in my blog updates so here it goes.  Our Western dinner shows at Old Cowtown Have gone well and are always a great time for us and our guests. We are down to one more show for the summer on August 22nd so please make plans to be with us.  On another subject we SO looking forward to next February when we embark on our SIXTH Cowboy Cruise with Village Tours.  Many of you have already made reservations to cruise with us and we invite many more of you to join us!  If you have never cruised as a vacation this trip is the way to try it out!
On a personal note I have been blessed to have found full-time employment again therefore my blog posts may still be farther apart but I will make an effort to keep up and to pass along news and my perspective.  Thanks for reading.

The old adage is still true, the only thing you can truly count on is change. For a variety of reasons we as a group have decided to make some changes in our direction as a band.  What this means is we have decided to get out of the "food" business by ending our regular dinner and shows at Old Cowtown.  We are looking to broaden our venue choices beyond the traditional "chuckwagon" shows.  We hope to market our western music as well as our Cowboy Christmas show to a variety of venues over the next several years, we hope to include Old Cowtown in that list as well.  Please keep checking back with us here on the website to stay informed about our upcoming plans. Come and see us at the Empire House for our remaining Christmas shows if you can.  Look forward to seeing you there!
